1. School Results goto top
To store all the school results properly, you need all the teachers and management of the school to be fully trustworthy. To secure test results is however not easy. The best way to secure test results seems to be this:
- A test is done in a classroom, on a sheet of paper.
- The kids put their names and date on the paper.
- Then all the sheets are scanned.
- Before a page is scanned, the student selects his ID-Code from a predefined list on the scanner.
- After scanning, the scanner automatically adds the ID-Code of the Student and of the present Teacher to the canvas of the .png scan-file.
- Once that is done, the png is hashed and the hash is used as part of the filename of each scan.
- Each student gets a copy of the png's of his own test.
- The students then check if their scans are done properly. If the scan is bad, the scan must be repeated.
- Once everyone agrees, the scanner makes a file where it displays all the hashes (and nothing more) of all of the classmates.
- This list is finally again hashed as a total by the scanner. Let's call that hash: the overall hash.
- The overall hash is part of the filename of the Hash-collection file.
The students can take the originals home, but this adds little, because if the scan system would crash, the test must be done over again anyway because kids could tamper with the paper at home.
The Self Sovereign Identity is important in this process because it merges the identities of all involved in the distributed results. This makes it impossible to tamper with.
2. When You Enter a Taxi goto top
In many countries, entering a taxi can be dangerous. With new systems like Lyft and Uber, risks are only increasing. With the Self-Sovereign Identity system, the taxi driver can put a QR-Code of his ID-Code on a clear visible place on the inside of the taxi. When you enter the taxi, you can scan that QR-Code and check if the ID-Code is known among your friends.
This assumes that you have copies of several of the Public ID-Code-Lists of your family and friends. Let's assume you have 100 copies of Public ID-Code-Lists of your family and friends. Let's assume these list have about 1000 people in it on average. Let's also assume that 50% overlaps. This still means you have about 50,000 different ID's to compare. It is quite possible one of these 50,000 has met the same taxi driver before.
With the Self-Sovereign Identity system (that uses ID-Card and the Lists of ID-Codes), a person can investigate perfect strangers before entering possibly dangerous situations.
3. UBI-Coin - Social Security goto top
A subject nobody seems to touch in relation to cryptocurrencies is social security. Many proponents of cryptocurrencies see the blockchain technology (and the cryptocurrencies that are based on it) as the only viable answer on the issues that Fiat-currencies cause today. These proponents are right that the attempts to keep the Fiat currencies - and especially the Dollar - afloat, causes a wealth transfer to the wealthy 0.1% of a magnitude that has never been seen before. They are also right that people are completely tired of the endless wars that are caused by attempts to protect the "Petrodollar".
So if you really think that cryptocurrencies are the answer to these issues, what about providing social security? How will the bottom 50% of the world population survive when over 99% of the wealth is hidden in encryption? Will half of the world population just need to hope that charity will help them out, as most of their jobs are taken by robots and AI?
The problem with cryptocurrencies is that it is fully anonymous and that it is impossible to tax people when they are able to claim that they don't have money. They can claim that because nobody is able to check how many millions they have hidden in cryptocurrencies.
Benefit only once
To be able to create proper social security - like Universal Basic Income - the first step should be making sure that we are able to identify people uniquely. If a person can use more than one identity, that person will also receive multiple social security benefits. It is clear that that issue must be addressed first.
The fact that 1 in 7 people can't identify themselves means that centralized registration systems fail massively. Over 1 billion people can't participate. Can't travel, can't go to school, can't get a bank account, can't buy a SIM-card. Are we however sure that these unregistered people are not registered anywhere? Perhaps some of them are trying to be registered more than once. How do we check that? That's why we've created a fully decentralized and fully Self-Sovereign Identity system which allow people to identify themselves in an unambiguous way.
It is to be expected that - when large amounts of people use this Self-Sovereign Identity system - it will be possible to create a new open currency system with a proper social security system embedded in it. This system will also be based on blockchain and encryption technology, but won't allow people to be fully anonymous and hide their money. This might look extreme but you need to remember that currently only the top 0.1% is able to hide their money. This elite group control all banks and governments and know exactly how much money everyone owns and how to take a portion of it. Only a Self-Sovereign Identity system will be able to change that.
4. Publications, Inventions and Ownership goto top
Like protecting your school results, it is also possible to add a verification code to anything you publish on the internet or in the real world. Likewise, inventions or the ownership of any kind of property can be secured with a timestamp the personal ID-Code and an encrypted message. When you hash the publication and store that hash in a blockchain, only you will be able to prove that you can unlock the encryption and that you are the first publicist.nobody else will be able to prove is the owner of the item.
It is obvious that for any recognition of ownership, the validity of the identity of the person also needs to be secured. Not everybody is able to meet the publicist in person and seeing him prove that he is the actual person that is connected to the identity that was used. With the Self-Sovereign Identity system, people are able to check the ID-Card of the other. This can be achieved by doing an encrypted handshake (using each others public keys) and by checking at mutual relations. With this system, people can now see for themselves that there can't be any doubt that the publicist is also the owner of the public key that was used to sign the publication.
